  I can't say enough great things about High Standards Equestrian Center in Brandywine, MD. My horse gets top-notch individualized care, and the facilities are some of the nicest I've ever encountered in an affordable boarding stable. It's truly one of the best values around! From the well-groomed oversized indoor arena with stadium-type jumps to the three outdoor arenas that include a grass hacking field, sand ring with jumps, and outdoor grass field with XC/hunt field jumps, well-maintained trails, and a round pen, boarders have a plethora of riding options. Ample turnout in your choice of group, semi-private, and private paddocks/pastures. The hay and feed are excellent quality. April and her small, knowledgable staff look after every aspect of their care and pick up even the smallest of issues before they become larger. They are always willing to accommodate reasonable requests, and procedures are in place to ensure that nothing is overlooked. Lessons are available for beginners through advanced, and show opportunities are available on your own horse or on one of the farm's well-trained, talented school horses. While the focus is on English riding, particularly hunter/jumpers, all disciplines are welcomed. The boarders are like an extended family, and this is truly a drama-free facility, a rarity in boarding barns. Located conveniently near Alexandria and Arlington, VA, and DC. Just 10 miles from the Prince George's Equestrian Center. Bottom line: My horse is happy. I'm happy. One of the nicest barns I've ever kept my horse!
